Verizon only limits a customer`s payment options to cash or checks when payments have been returned. If you are a postpay customer, you may be entitled to a discount if you are and stay connected to an organization that has an agreement with us. If your discount is not granted through a national discount program, we may sometimes pass on certain information about your service (including your name, phone number, and total monthly fee) to your organization to ensure that you are still eligible. We may adjust or remove your discount in accordance with your organization`s agreement with us and remove your discount if your right to participate expires or if your contract term expires. Either way, it won`t have a major negative impact on you. After setting up the payment terms online or with the My Verizon app, you will receive an SMS and/or email that will confirm your availability (depending on your notification settings). If your device is lost, stolen, or damaged, you are still responsible for your monthly payments until the contract is paid in full. If you subscribe to a service for which a usage fee is collected at the end of the billing period (“postpay service”) or if you have a instalment payment contract for equipment payments, we may check your credit history at any time in relation to the service subscription or instalment payment agreement. If you want the name and address of an information desk that will give us credit information about you, just ask. Check out our video to learn how to make a promise of payment in the My Verizon app. Minimum contract duration A monthly or two-year contract is required for each line. Early Cancellation Fee If you agree to a contract leading to a two-year service contract, the Early Cancellation Fee can be up to $175 or up to $350 if its contract term results from the purchase of an extended device.
